Boot Camp Control Panel User Guide
If your Intel-based Mac or Apple display has a built-in camera, you can use it for video chatting and with other apps that use video when you’re using Windows.
If the camera isn’t working, make sure you have the latest Windows support software installed. See the Apple Support article Download and install Windows support software on your Mac.
Note: Windows doesn’t support external iSight cameras.
Many Mac computers and displays have a built-in FaceTime or FaceTime HD camera located near the top edge of the screen. The camera automatically turns on when you open an app—such as FaceTime, Messages, or Photo Booth—or use a feature—such as Markup or head pointer—that can use the camera. Designed specifically for Apple Pro Display XDR, the 4K Pro Magnetic Webcam lets you communicate, collaborate, and record in outstanding 4K Ultra HD clarity. Your Mac has a built-in webcam known as the iSight camera. It’s pretty useful to take photos and videos or chat for casual purposes. However, it does not produce the best image quality, so you might want to get an external webcam for high-resolution video output.
